What is a name server?
When someone visits your website or sends you an email, your ISP (Internet Service Provider, e.g. MTN, Vodacom) checks your domain name to see where it's hosted. Every domain name has at least two internet addresses that tell the ISP where the domain is hosted. These are called nameservers.
The job of these nameservers is to direct an ISP to the specific servers that host your website and email. If you change your hosting provider, you will need to change the nameserver records for your domain name.

ns2.astrihost.com
